Women Entrepreneurship in Rural India

Rural women in India face hardships in independence and making financial decisions. They often have low-skilled, low-productivity and low or unpaid jobs with long working hours, poor working conditions and limited social protection. But some of them, despite their socioeconomic disadvantages, dare to dream of shattering the chains of poverty and uplifting their families' livelihoods. As the founder of Gluten Free Jio, I interviewed six rural women entrepreneurs from all over northern India who told their awe-inspiring stories. I believe these stories are worth sharing with the world, so these women have the global exposure they deserve.
